End of happening 2009
As Year on year passes…and a journey of life continues...
Month after month and a year completed… Today 31st Dec, last day of the year 2009.
It’s new year eve & it’s time to look past-thorough out the year; time to look forward and make New year Resolutions as well..
2009- A year with lots of happening. Here is some flash back of the whole year.
January – Year started with loads of goodies….first & foremost – a birth day.
Yes.. it was fabulous time..Obviously it’s birth day- a party time…time of joy & celebrations.
That was the longest ever time for me that I stayed away from my family, friends etc. Sadly, it had been more than 6 months that I haven’t visited my home..:(
But as tradition, I had celebrated my birth day at home only.
Somehow I managed to get leave and ran to home from UK, only to celebrate birth day & uttarayan. But this time it was great feeling never like before.
This reminds me my college days. When I was in college I always ran to vadodara to celebrate birth day. My 9X friends always complains me about this, they use to tell me like, always you celebrated ur birth day at ur place only, some time you should enjoy with us also. But what to do…I love to celebrate with them but..I could not make my mind..Sorry dosto..
Apart from uttarayan, I had fantastic time there in India. I met my friends in ahmedabad also. Some of my friends came to vadodara to meet me; it was so nice of them. I really appreciated their efforts & my importance in their life. I really love to meet you again & again…Also I had fantastic party with all my neighbours, friends, etc., which was the only occasion whereby we got a chance to get together. It was amazing event. With all these good memories I return to UK..
There is no happening event for February and March, time passes as normal
April- Aah !! Trip of the year…Scotland. Yes, this was the only trip where we all UK parties went together..this time not only singles but families were also with me J J. So this we can consider as a trip of the year. It was fabulous time out there, really enjoyed…beautiful Scotland…
May – A month of sorrow, sadness….Unfortunately my both roomies sent back to Mumbai as their current assignment was over. That was bit sad month..It’s better not to remember much…
June – here comes the month of certification.. J J Finally I cleared ITIL foundation certification. Whole month I studied and felt a exam like pressure; that reminds me my college exams…that time I used to sleep early with the hope that I’ll get up early in the morning for reading…but in reality that never happened J J…So in one line I can say that I feel the exam pressure by having sound sleep J…
July- Time to say good bye to 42, Velocity North…as contract was getting over & uncertainty of stay in UK, I vacant that apartment with loads of memories..golden days of UK…We were so attached to that apartment that we used to call it 42,Velocity New Satyam. (New Satyam is our New Mumbai’s apartment name J)
We all roomies had fantastic time out there and will cherish those for rest of life.
August-Yes, month of independence & for me it’s month of movement :) :).
Actually I shifted to one of my dear friend’s place. There I enjoyed a lot….Since first time when I visited his house, I would love to stay at there and finally I got a chance & enjoyed a lot.
September- Another month of movement JJ..Again I shifted to Velocity apartment but this time it’s west wing…Here also I got good company of my dear friend…Till date I am enjoying here…
October-This was again one of milestone month….I got my tik tik tik….Yuppy….Also I bought a new camera…so now will try to hands on some photography…Nothing more happened in this month but whatever happened was fabulous…thanks everybody who supported me to achieve it J.
November-Hmm…Month of Marriage…yeah many of my closest friend got married….but sadly I could not attend any of them…I wish I could be a part of that auspicious occasion.
December-This is one of month of learning I can say…I learned many technologies in this month…after all it was year ending J J…Also enjoyed many movies in theatre in this month…including most awaited 3-Idiots …J
So finally its all about whole 2009. A year of most happening..
Now it’s time to New year Resolutions & look forward to 2010.
Hope coming year will bring happiness & load of goodness…..
Bye Bye 2009…&...Welcome 2010. C U in 2010...
With New Hopes,

Merry Christmas !!
Wishing you Merry Christmas !!
Second Christmas in UK, this time it's white Xmas....Seems like Almighty is showering it's blessing through snow !!
Christmas - festival of joy,happiness...& time to celebrate the festival of light with family,friends...
Being in UK, a majority Christian population country- it's very good celebration of this festival & enjoying being here...Every house is decorated with Xmas tree, lights etc..
But the way I used to celebrate xmas in India is really amazing & missing it too...
In my college days we (other college friends) go to Jain Jolly's (very dear friend of mine..) place to celebrate xmas. At there, we have had cake, yummy food & then go to church as well for prayers. So those xmas were very special for me. Hope will have such xmas again.....
Last year I had fantastic xmas...we celebrated & enjoyed lot. But unfortunately all years are not same.......Although I wished merry xmas to all my friends..till now, no plan to celebrate xmas. I'm happy because this year I got a gift from Secret Santa...:)
Actually we played game in office....named "Secret Santa", in which every one will get a gift from one of colleague who will be his Secret Santa and as I also bought a gift for one of colleague for whom I am the secret santa, so it was fun..enjoyed !!
Merry Christmas,
Pritesh

Yet another month is about to an End !!
There are many new things happened in this month...
At the start of the month I have decided few things to be carried out....but as usual...started but none of them were completed...as usual :(
This is bit disappointing, but also have some good things to cheer about....
so not to regret for all those disappointment but learned from past experience...
If we consider some good things which I learned then I must say I have learned a new language Groovy....finally after long time I had looked beyond java language.
That was how I started month....there are few reasons why I have started to learn Groovy...1 foremost reason is ..Syntax...it's very similar to java.
so any java developer can easily be comfortable with it...the other important reason is powerful features....it has a potential to beat java....nt rt nw bt in future....
It has a very good features which are not available in java till date .[..may included similar features in future java releases...]
Yes, now following are some interesting features of Groovy:
-Closures
-Expression Language
-Null Pointer check
-Elvis operator
-Easy looping
and many more....
I also had a chance to explore Grails ....web 2.0 framework for Groovy !!
It was amazing...I was really surprised by the speed at which an application created-deployed-tested ..It was very quick...Just very minimal efforts....really good...looking forward to explore Grail as well...
Apart from Groovy, I learned JMX...Java Management Extension.....
Basically I love java performance tunings....during surfing I came across an article describing good support of JConsole in j2se6 n that's the drove to go in depth & explore JMX.
I learned various features sun is providing for managing object...I explored some of basic features..I found that very interesting....
After completing that tutorial I can better understand the implementation/use of jmx in my application....I clearly understood the code....
Lastly, I can say that something learned in this month but much more to learn!!
Now at personal front I have broke some barriers....finally I have joined Gym.... :)....looking for a healthy 2010 :) :)....So Get Set Go.....
Also…Today is one of the important day for me…because today is my “best friend’s wedding” … :)….monty…
I don’t knw how to react on it….yes of course I must be happy n I am….But the sad part is I could not attend it… :(….I wish I could…:(
Any way it’s part of life…we have to keep momentum going..:(

Are you Facing Problem with Outlook 2007 new mail Notification ??
"Are you Facing Problem with Outlook 2007 new mail Notification ??"
Just Chill.....You are at right place...your problem will not be the problem anymore !!
Now let me explain the problem which I was facing after installing Outlook 2007,
Since two day I was bit annoyed because the way outlook was behaving....
when I receive any new mail and if rule is set then it will do as per rule & forwards to appropriate folder (in personal .pst file), but the real problem is, it's not showing me a new mail tray alert for mail/RSS outside the inbox.....
I'm not even aware that someone sent me a mail....it results into important mails got delayed to respond..(Fortunately Not for my Manager's mail)
So today morning...I started a search for the solution...
In course of search I found some site/blog which says that this is the known issue with Outlook 2007, whereas somebody stated that this is a bug....MS has to fix it....So I got sad....I thought, I have to bare with this annoyed feature !!
But at last after few hours of rigorous search,
I found the solution which made my day !! Hurrey !!!
For a fantastic stuff.....Credit goes to....
http://www.howto-0utlook.com/howto/mailalert2003.htm
Like me, there are lots of people who might be facing the same problem..
so I thought, why don't share this piece of information with all....
Enjoy Alerts !!

New Year Resolution !!
Wishing you all Happy New Year & have a fabulous year ahead!!
It's like a new Beginning.....of Thoughts, of Words, of Actions...
Time to commit the new commitment(s).
Hmm....Being a geeky, this is bit enigmatic to describe things in words but commitment is commitment. :)
This is second consecutive Diwali & New Year in my life that I am away from my family, "Swadesh" & Missing them. :(
I wish, I could Enjoy this auspicious festival by being at home, with family & friends.
Any way it's part of life & thanks to web, cell phone to keep me close to all my dear ones :) :)..
Bye For Now,
Pritesh
