Today, I won my first ever bid in one of the item listed on e-bay...Though I'm a member of e-bay since November 2008 but I never tried to place a bid or purchase any item by myself. But today first time I tried to bid on one of the item and I won it...I know this item is not very much in demand and hardly 2-3 bidders were there. But what ever may be the case, I'm happy that I won that bid & that's the first time try :) :)...Cool...
That saved my few bucks if I would have purchased from market or some other place. Actually that item is not available in India & my uncle want that so I told him I will bring it from here & I did it ! :)..

Happy Diwali & Prosperous New Year !!
Well....whole month was full of fun...outing..gathering...Diwali & New year started with new hopes etc. Visited many new places..First & foremost is Wembley, Harrow which I have been waiting to see since 2.5 years.
Let's start with Diwali N New Year Celebration, I celebrated it at one of my dear friend's place with his family...I was there over that festive week end. Had fantastic dinner after arriving there. Then we had some gossips, remembering old days etc..Next day we went to Wembley & Harrow, had fantastic lunch at one of good restaurant there in harrow, there we had some get together, met some old friends.
Then we headed for Neasden temple - a very good "BAPS - Shri Swaminarayan"
Temple. The most exciting thing was that I met one of my training days friend with his wife after around 4-5 year, So I was really excited to meet him & finally met him at temple. The other thing was, on that day we got a chance for Aarti at temple as well, very lucky me :)..First time ever I got a chance to see "Annakut", there were 1456 different dishes, beautifully placed.
It was amazing scene there. Have a look of that fabulous decoration http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=pke5VgElL9s&feature=player_ embedded. New year started with new year wishes to every dear n near ones...Over all this time diwali was fantastic..i enjoyed a lot but missed india very little.
Few days later, again I planned for week end to visit one of my dear friend's place, we were total eight of us with family to have small post Diwali get together. We also had late night gossip. Next day we went for movie Golmaal 3, we enjoyed that. We arrived very early for the movie, apx about 2.5 hours, so we decided to have a coffee & then would go for bowling. At Cost Coffee bar we started talking about marriage, love n all that and eventually it turned in to a very long & hot discussion on "Arrange Marriage", actually it was started from my marriage thing, we were talking about how difficult it is to have an arrange marriage, the process n etc. Everyone was sharing their experience & giving some thoughts on this. It became so interesting & everybody were so engrossed into that discussion that no body had any idea about the time. We could not believe it did last for more than 2 hr & now it's show time. Finally we had to stop our hot discussion & taking few points as an action on me we entered into cinema hall. As usual, we occupied last row and enjoyed a movie, of course with pop corn & coke.. :)
Finally at the end of month I have booked tickets to india...So now counting days for that...Also it's time to revisit all New Year Resolutions which were made last year, what has done & what has not....

October - A month of Changes !!
October passed through many changes...some tough time...some decision making time...etc. First & fore most I lost my roomie, with whom I have been sharing the apartment for more than a year, a good dear friend, roomie has went back to India for good reasons !! As this was known before few months, we already had given the notice to landlord to vacant the apartment. As days passes...it was the last day with my roomie, was very sad.....at the time of his farewell every one in our group was feeling the same...but I did most...Because I knew that I'll gonna miss him very much for our usual gossip, watching together favourite programs, cooking experiments, tea @4pm, BODs etc..
Last words I said to him was Dost, "Life wont be same with out you...Miss you !! "..
I wish that he will achieve it for what he has gone back...
After he left I was alone in the apartment..for the full one week I was like Home Alone..I have started feeling loneliness...dying to pass time at home....during that week, I hardly cooked food for twice...usually I managed to get food from take ways or hotel. During everyday's take way food, two of my friends have invited me for dinner...So enjoyed food at their place & felt well...But this one week was really scary...Only I knew how did I pass through it. Hope such period never come again !! :(
Some good news is, I got two new roomies and retained the current Velocity apartment..For me it's not about retaining the apartment only...but to retain yaadein, memories, masti that belongs to this apartment... :):)...I'm so happy now....
New beginning with new roomies...Till now enjoying with them...So far so good...started playing Counter Strike game...having loads of fun...Hope such good days continues..
Yesterday, we celebrated one of my friend's daughter's 4th birth day. It was fun..we really enjoyed that. Most exciting part was her birthday gift which her parent gave to her. It was a kitchen set, she was so much enjoying while playing with it. She prepared tea, break fast etc for all of us. So cute of her. Till late night she was playing with the kitchen & preparing various dishes for us. She was pretending to be a hotel owner & also managing customers (ie us)...Her cuteness was at best while she was serving the food, tea to us.
Another change is time, yes, now we are back to GMT from (GMT+1), means now day light saving is off & clock set 1 hr. backward. Today morning I realise this change when I woke up, I woke up an hour earlier than usual. I though it's 11 o'clock in morning but actually it was 10 o'clock. I got confused because my mobile was still showing the GMT+1 time...When I opened my laptop I realised that, ohh..now we on GMT..then restarted mobile & set the correct time. Now we are 5.30 hrs behind from IST..so have to be bit early to call to India in the evening...
Now finally this months ends, normal life is on track and for next week excited to celebrate Diwali at my friends place... :)
Bye for now...
Stay Tunned,
Pritesh

A Rainy Sunday....
It's Sunday morning...as usual another week end. But today its not like sunny sunday, it's heavily raining Since morning dark clouds around and raining, like a perfect monsoon season.... Though I like this kind of mausam, would like to enjoy with garma garam bhajji, samosa etc. but unfortunately I could not have any one of them right now...But yes had fantastic morning tea and enjoying some old romantic, dancing songs..So It's bit cool environment...Of Course I wont like to go out in such atmosphere..and will try to be at home for the whole day.......hope some of my friends will meet online so I can have a voice/video chat to them...or else ..planning to watch some movie.. :)......
But it reminds me the monsoon of India, where I used to roam around with friends (provided it's holiday :)), long drive on bike, some times we used to go Mahakali for tasty, spicy Sev Usal...I remember those days....In fact we all love to go there...to have spicy Sev Usal...Some times we used to for garma garam Daal Vada...that was mindblowing...It's raining and I'm missing those fun with my buddies...But that's life...You have to enjoy in every possible ways, whether in India or here in UK....
Till than enjoying rain, kuch mindblowing songs with garma garam nasta...(Mostly would go for Maggie !!)...Lets see how day goes....
It's raining....Stay wet :)

~ Superb September ~
September, a month with fun, festival, and friends; some tough Decision making time…It went all good till end; except some rough patches at the end…
Here we go, this month we have celebrated Ganesh Visarjan here in leeds. It was nice celebration; many devotee were gathered and were chanting "Ganpati Bappa Morya,Phudchya Varshi Lavkaar Ya"….the whole atmosphere was feeling the touch of india.
On that week end…some old buddies came here to meet us…Weekend full of fun....Yes, we had fantastic lunch at Tulsi restaurant and then we went for “Dabangg”. Though movie was not exceptionally well but yes was full of Sallu styles…so enjoyed.. In evening we had dinner at our place and then at night..we all were on fire…we had a dance party…we all enjoyed a lot…after long time I got the touch of good old days…We were so much enjoying the dance that we hadn’t done before….It was fabulous…The super hit song of Dabangg “Munni badnaam hui” was rocking at that night, we danced so gracefully on that song…that I can’t express in words…everyone was like mad on that night…Nobody wants to stop that fire but everyone’s energy was not helping …so we had to stop dancing…but that’s not the end of night, after that we were started gossiping…it was like more than 2 hours of it, at the last we called it enough is enough because it’s morning 4.30 am…..:)…So that was and end of fabulous weekend….I guess that was the first & last of such great weekend… :)..
On one of Sunday I had a trip to Blackpool …It was very bright and sunny Sunday so enjoyed a lot…Fantastic part of that trip is Sunset..Yes I love that…That was perfect scene of sun set that anyone would ever expected. It was around 6 pm and sun was about to set. I was sitting at sea shore and enjoying sun set – a beautiful, most romantic, most charismatic thing of nature. It was picture perfect scene… As the sun goes down and twilight arrives, Sky with Dark and orange colour, sun and sky shadow on sea water, dark orange sunny rays spreaded all over the water…and Ship going through on the edge of sea..Which creates a scene like ship is travelling all the way around the sun…
It was “Superb Sun Set”!!
Any way life moves on, and something about rough Decision making time.. Because my roomie is going back to India for good reasons, I have to decide whether or not I have to continue with this Velocity apartment or not…and we decided to move out from this house and we are serving notice period now..
(Though it was bit tough decision but have to make it…:):)). However some negotiation is still going on this…let see what happen in future…
Bye For now !!

Vande Mataram !!
After more than two hundred years of British rule, India finally won backs its freedom on 15th August, 1947. It was on the eve of 15th of August, 1947 that India tricolor flag was unfurled by Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, on the ramparts the Red Fort of Delhi, also he said in his historical speech:
“At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new…India discovers herself again."
- Jawaharlal Nehru
Today, 15th August 2010 is India’s 63rd Independence Day and on this great day, everyone conveys best wishes and greetings to their family and friends... Vande Mataram, Jay Hind & Happy independence Day !!
Last year, we have celebrated the day by doing flag hosting followed by some sweet distribution. That was great. But unfortunately this year I have not got that chance to do that. But yes, I had celebrated by saluting the nation & giving the tribute to all martyrs. Since morning itself, I have started feeling patriotic and listening to old patriotic songs !!
On this day, I would like to mention about an interesting article. Recently I read one article titled “Bharat vs. India”, that seems to me very catchy & drove my attention. So I started reading & at the end I was astonished. Can’t believe whether it’s still true? That article was talking about the perspective of movie audience of old/rural india called “Bharat” & new/developed India called “India”.
Now a day’s Indian cinema aka Bollywood have plenty of movies realising every year but how many of them are really attracts the Bharat Audience (ie. Audience from Rural areas of India) and how many of them to India Audience (ie. Audience from developed areas of India) ?
But I would rather say how many of them are really made for them (Bharat)..In this glamour & advance technological world every one keen to make movie targeted to Indian audience (ie. Audience from developed areas of India), rather than Bharat audience. Recently Peepli Live released which really raised the burning issue of Suicide of Farmers of Bharat and such kind of movie really attracts more Bharat audience. So i’m happy that still we have movies for Bharat....But not sure how it will continue in future. I wish movies for both Bharat Audience & India Audience.
So in future I would like to see "Bharat & India" rather than "Bharat vs. India"
Vande Mataram,
Pritesh

What's Your Name ??
Title sounds bit weird, isnt it ? Any way by the end of this blog you will come to know what does that mean & why I have made that title?
If someone asks me what's your name, then I would say my name is :
P-Papa
R-Romeo
I-India
T-Tango
E-Echo
S-Sierra
H-Hotel
Yes, it's true..I should spell out my name in that manner. Actually this is nothing new it's been very old and called as "NATO phonetic alphabet". Most of the words are recognizable by native English speakers because English must be used upon request for communication between an aircraft and a control tower whenever two nations are involved, regardless of their native languages. But it is only required internationally, not domestically, thus if both parties to a radio conversation are from the same country, then another phonetic alphabet of that nation's choice may be used. Mostly it's not directly applied to our daily life but when ever you come across any situation where by you have to communicate with Customer care support then usually you would found this is useful. In fact most of customer care support representative usually use/follow this phonetic alphabet in order to make clear conversation.
I have been using various other words to spell out my name eg. P-Prince,R-Red etc.
But now I learned & will follow the same NATO phonetic alphabet. I found this very interesting & effective. Previously I used to repeat more that once to spell out my name but after using this most of time my job is done at the first time itself....
If you want to know how to spell out your name (especially to Customer Care Support representative) refer this:

So, What's your Name ?? Check that out !!
